Sometimes these thoughts in my head speak so loud Every little thing that I think about just builds on top of the pain and doubt Even though I wanna just let it out I try to act like I don't mind it Try to keep my mouth so quiet But sitting there in my silence just seems to amplify it When I thought that keeping this inside would make it better I never thought that I would end up ruining it forever But every time I think I got everything put back together I end up I want you to think I'm worn out so easily I wish I'd held it in so you'd never knew it built up inside of me Now I don't know how an overflow spilled out unwillingly But now everything that I learned to hate came out for you to see I don't want you to promise you can change everything and make it better Cause you can bet I'm gonna end up ruining it forever And every time you think you've got everything put back together I'm sad
As you age, your world is getting smaller.
You lose your friends, your family move away, so you don't have that connection that people need. St. Pat's is truly a community for older adults. We helped provide dignity, long-lasting support, and engagement to allow them to remain in their homes. Working with Comcast, we've had teams from Boys and Girls Club serve as digital navigators, spending time with the seniors, teaching them how to access the Internet.
The Internet connects all of us together. I feel like seniors should be a part of that. They had a bunch of questions to ask. We would kind of guide them through and show them how to do it.
The young teens that we had today were absolutely fabulous.
Access to the Internet opens up a world of doors for them.
You can see grandkids, you can see friends, you can talk to doctors on it. Just a whole world at your fingertips, really. I wouldn't know anything about that. I ain't married.
And this one has different filters on it.
My son's like, my mom doesn't need a phone. She's not going to do that after today. You just better watch out.
This is just a life changing moment for my group of seniors that they're going to remember forever. And I'm so happy to be able to do that.
It keeps my confidence up that I can still learn. And if someone older can continue learning and growing, they never feel old. Your passion intensifies when you share. Why? The new Eau de Parfum talks.
